New York City based photographer, Regan Reda, has been expressing her personal experience through visual mediums for much of her life. Initially struggling with multiple learning disabilities including dyslexia and Attention Deficit Disorder, she believed that normalcy would be impossible. However, after much reflection Regan leaned into her irregular visual understanding of the world. With the discovery of photography and video, Regan landed on an art form in which she could finally communicate successfully. Recently she is graduated from the University of Kansas gaining a BFA in Design with a major in Photography and a focus in Anthropology, also completing extension coursework in the Marketing Program.

Regan continues to hone her photography skills, capturing “decisive moments” of cITY life. More recently she has begun to explore her relationship with time, memory, and mental health, by experimenting with cyanotype photographic processes, analog film, and video work. With the use of motion, collage, dramatic color, symbolic subject matter, light, and occasional music, she attempts to convey the disorienting momentum of moving from day to day.
